We’re proud to announce our newest addition to the CSC product portfolio–the 32” Wide N Deck.
As a leader in the U.S. steel and manufacturing industry, we recognized the benefits that would accompany a new high-quality, high-strength, wider N deck profile.
Our engineers designed this product to optimize the section properties and overall performance of the deck panels. We are also providing the option to add stiffeners in the flats of the deck, which will increase capacity even more, especially for thinner gages. These capabilities are a unique and new addition to the industry which will allow us to potentially utilize lighter gages, saving money and optimizing the design from a sustainability aspect.
Along with the innovations our engineering team added, the 32” wide profile also requires fewer sheets, meaning less handling and shorter spreading time. Having fewer side lap connections, this deck saves on labor by reducing installation time. The wider profile results in better diaphragm and stiffness results, and the low flute geometry allows for easier Hilti pin installation.
We will offer 4 styles of this deck, in both nestable and interlocking side laps:
- NS32 – Nestable side laps
- NI32 – Interlocking side laps
- NS32-XS – Nestable side laps (with stiffeners)
- NI32-XS – Interlocking side laps (with stiffeners)
An Extra Strength version (XS) is also available with stiffeners for up to 15% more capacity. Keep an eye out for acoustic and cellular versions which are currently in development.
